Often new playground designs are inspired by existing designs and this was the case for our customer in Melita, Manitoba, who was impressed with our Garden Party playground and wanted to build more accessibility into the design as well as add some extras to the site. The main structure revolves around a central tower with upper and lower decks branching out in all directions. Two speedy slides add excitement while a few very showy climbers deliver climbing challenges in a variety of ways. The Accessible Tippy Canoe and some fun play panels on the lowest deck bring the desired accessibility for all users. Connected to the main structure by some ground-level agility features, the addition of an overhead and climbing obstacle adds some challenge to the playground for older users. A double U-Swing allows users of varied abilities to experience the joy of swinging. Three spring riders were requested by the customer to round out the playground. The unique colour scheme blends purples, blues and oranges to create a captivating palette. The result is a vibrant design packed with play value that will entertain a broad range of abilities, skill levels and ages in the community for years to come.
