This train-themed playground was thoughtfully designed to reflect the cultural heritage of King Station which operated from 1853 to 1967 and was the first stop on the way from Toronto to Lake Simcoe on the Canadian National Northern Railway line. Considered the oldest surviving railway station in Canada, the station has had an interesting journey of its own. Visitors can now enjoy touring the museum and historic building as well as spending time at the fully customized train-themed playground. At the heart of the playground lies a charming train station complete with a ticket window, where children can role-play as conductors, passengers, or ticket agents. The realistic locomotive and train cars invite kids to climb aboard and explore, inspiring endless make-believe adventures on the rails. The playground is designed for a variety of play styles, blending exciting physical activities with engaging sensory and imaginative elements. For younger adventurers, there are low-to-the-ground components and toddler-friendly activities, ensuring fun for all ages.
